*Please note this information is subject to change. CIP will do our best to keep this information updated, but the most current information can be found on the IRCC website.
Please Note: Exchange students can now come on exchange for a full academic year (Fall and Winter Semesters)
Based on changes to immigration guidelines, the University of Guelph can once again welcome exchange students for our full academic year. Exchange students studying for more than 6 months will require a study permit to enter Canada. To determine what documents you will need to enter Canada for a two semester visit, please check this Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada page and indicate you are staying for 6 months or more. Once you are officially accepted for exchange by both Guelph and your home institution, start your immigarion process as soon as possible as it can take weeks or months to process your documents.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please address your inquiries to goabroad@uoguelph.ca.
